Greenway Golf x Soccer Without Borders Youth Sports-Based Professional Development Program

For our coaching team, we recruit Soccer Without Borders alumni as camp counselors and student- athletes as golf instructors, allowing us to expand the social impact of our no-cost youth programs by providing income and valuable job training for deserving young people.

    Alma first tried golf at the age of eight. With 3 years prior experience teaching at other camps, She values the opportunities golf has given her to play in seven different countries. She looks forward to improving her leadership skills and is excited to teach kids the best things that golf has to offer.

    Amaan is excited to be part of the coaching team for his fourth year and work with kids, fostering their love of golf. He loves connecting with the campers and getting to know all of their individual personalities. He started playing golf at the age of 3 and his favorite golfing memories have been formed with his brother on the course.

    Carlos was introduced to golf when he began coaching for On The Green Summer Camp. This season marks his third year as a camp coach. Carlos is enthusiastic about playing fun games with the kids and cherishes the life lessons that golf teaches. One of his favorite camp memories is the kids challenging the coaches on the driving range.

    Cassie’s golf journey began at age of three. Now in her fourth year as a coach and third year as a Camp Lead, she's excited to witness the youth learn and have fun. Cassie finds golf rewarding, fun, and beautiful, and she values the sport for its ability to teach valuable life lessons and its welcoming, inclusive side, which she discovered through On the Green Summer Camp.

    Chester’s discovered his passion for golf just two years ago. As a first-time coach, he's eager to bond with the kids in his group and provide them with a nurturing space to learn and grow. Golf has not only strengthened his relationship with his but als brother brought a sense of community into his life. He is grateful for the gifts golf has given him.

    Najji was introduced to golf in 2022 as an On The Green Summer Camp participant. She thought it would be easy and not all challenging, and her perception of golf has evolved significantly, and she has honed her skills both as a camper and coach. She is excited to return and continue improving her game while contributing to the camp's vibrant community.

    As a third-year returning Camp Lead, No Roah loves working with youth, and seeing returning campers is what he is looking forward to most. The most challenging part of the job is also the most rewarding—working with these amazing coaches and learning together. He is also looking forward to honing his golf skills as he continues to learn the game.

    Samar is thrilled to be returning for her third year as a coach. She looks forward to creating a comfortable environment where kids can be themselves and express themselves freely. Samar’s first exposure to golf was in 2022, when she started working at On The Green Summer Camp. She never imagined how much she would enjoy the game and all the incredible memories she has formed.

    Santi first tried golf last year when he joined the On the Green Summer Camp team. Santiago loves learning and teaching new ways to coach and enjoys working with new people and kids, regardless of how challenging it might be. He finds coaching and counseling a fun experience where he learns new things every day and every year.
